Hello Fellow Skålleagues!

I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying the best of life! I'm always thankful for sunshine and Florida winters. I am sorry that our February meeting was cancelled, and we missed our chance to network and dine with friends. Many of our Skålleagues have been venturing to far-off lands for business, pleasure, or both! We are looking forward to sharing our exciting journeys at our upcoming meetings! Please save the date for our upcoming events:

April 9, 2019 - C.W.S. Bar and Kitchen - Lake Worth
May 7th - The Chesterfield Palm Beach

We had some fantastic and different events in 2018, and we'd like to thank all of our partners that graciously hosted our group last year. During our March 5th meeting, we will discuss the Venue of the Year, and place a vote. We will invite the winning venue to our April 9th meeting to make the announcement. We look forward to your vote!

A great Skål chapter is always finding new ways to grow. One of the ways that we can grow our membership and interest in our club is through this social media. I know that not everyone uses the same "app for that", but we set up a Facebook page, a LinkedIn page, and an Instagram page. Look for Skål Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches, and you'll find us there! If you have other great ideas on growing our chapter, we'd love to know! Our club offers a member incentive when we have a new member that you recommended a $50 dinner credit.

Please let us know if you need to cancel your "yes" RSVP before the Friday before a meeting. No shows and cancellations after Friday will be charged. This little detail has been causing our mighty club to lose money when we have fewer friends attend than we said we would. Losing money means possibly not having enough when we have Skålleagues in need around the world.

We hope you understand. Last year, the Florimond Volckaert Fund was able to help our friends in the United States with over $30,000 in their time of need. We like being able to participate as best we can.
