Reminder: Minimum Wage Will Increase September 30

Florida’s minimum wage is scheduled to increase from $13.00 to $14.00 per hour on September 30, 2025, as part of a constitutional amendment passed in 2020. The tipped minimum wage will also rise from $9.98 to $10.98.
This marks the second-to-last increase in the state’s phased plan to reach $15.00 per hour by 2026, making Florida the only state in the country with a minimum wage mandate embedded in its constitution.
What Employers Should Know:
• All Florida businesses will be required to comply with the new rates and update workplace postings accordingly.
• These changes may affect pricing, staffing, benefits, and operational strategy—especially in service-heavy and labor-dependent industries.
• Tipped wage employers should also ensure compliance with recordkeeping and tip credit requirements.
The Chamber will continue to keep members informed of changes that affect the cost of doing business in Palm Beach County and across Florida.
